A compact recording studio in De Pijp where vocals, bands, mix, master and podcasts happen under one roof — with engineers who listen and decide with you.
How we started
Nelkenshift began in 2019 from a simple need: a studio large enough for a band, small enough to move quickly. We focus on pop, hip-hop, indie, spoken word and podcasts — always with an engineer in the control room.
We do not sell hit promises; we deliver usable takes, clear communication and files you can work with. Rates are on services; practical notes in our guides.
The rooms
Live room — 42 m²
Space for drums, bass, guitars and up to 6 musicians at once. Sight line to control, individual headphone mixes.
Vocal booth — 8 m²
Treated booth for vocals, rap, voice-over and dialogue.
Control room — 14 m²
Console, monitors and 12 inputs for simultaneous recording.
How we work
Every session starts with agreements on sound, pace and time. We send a quote within 2 working days; after a 30% deposit your slot is firm. Mix and master include 2 revision rounds; extra work is quoted upfront.
